4 Ways To Camouflage The Belly Bulge

Is your tummy a problem area for you?  Believe it or not there are ways to flatter your stomach through the use of proper clothes.

Here are a few helpful tips to camouflage the belly bulge:

1.  Wear gathered or ruched Tops.   The gathered detail gives style, makes the waist look slimmer and disguises imperfections.  No one will know if it’s the fabric or your  flesh that’s making a stylish statement.
2.  Wear wrap dresses and tops. They  create a more  defined waistline, enhance the bust size, slimming the waist and elongates your body.
3.   Wear short-waisted, fitted jackets. Look for fabrics with a little bit a stretch to enhance your curves and hide your tummy. The fitted jacket will nip in at your waistline and give the illusion of a smaller waist and tummy.
4.   The appropriate undergarments  give you a smoother and sleek final look. Shape-wear is a fabulous way to disguise your less perfect parts and create a gorgeous silhouette.  All you need to do to add smoothness is layer a lightweight tank underneath a clinging top.  Don’t forget the control top panty hose.

Open Up Your Eyes !

An eyelash curler will open your eyes up like you won’t believe!  An eyelash curler is easy to use and it makes your lashes appear more luxurious even if you don’t wear mascara.  When lashes are very straight or grow downward, they can be curled with an eye lash curler.  Here’s how to use an eyelash curler:

1. Make sure eyelashes are free of mascara.

2. The eyelash curler must be positioned gently on the top lashes.

3. Clamp lashes near the roots. Hold for 20-30 seconds.

(If lashes are not curled enough, the movement can be repeated several times)

4.  Mascara is applied after lashes are curled.

Tip:  Heating your eyelash curler with a blow-dryer on low heat,  for no more than 5 seconds before curling your lashes can give then a more defined look.  Be sure to test the temperature before curling, you don’t want to burn yourself.

Taking it Back To Twiggy!

Twiggy

Designers are paying tribute to the 1960′s with their 60′s inspired pieces in their spring 2013 collection.   The classic dress with A-line precision, the shift dress, mini-skirts,  stripes and a little something sheer are all featured with today’s trends in mind.  Funny how some of 1960′s international model Twiggy’s looks are showing up in our closet today.

Lighten Up !

Uneven skin tone or hyperpigmentation got you down?  Hyperpigmentation is a condition in which areas of the skin become darker in color than the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin.  Hyperpigmentation can be caused by sun damage, acne, inflammation and other skin injuries.   Hyperpigmentation can affect any race or skin type, but individuals with skin of color have a higher risk of developing it and a more prolonged recovery period simply because they have more pigment-producing cells.  The first line of defense against any type of hyperpigmentation is sunblock (15 spf or higher) .  Avoid exposing your skin to direct sunlight. Use sunscreen heavily to protect your skin and help retain its tone.  Here are five at home remedies to brighten, lighten and relieve uneven skin tones:

1.  Cut a lemon in half and rub it onto the area of your you wish to lighten.  Leave it on for 10-15 minutes.  Rinse the area with lukewarm water

2.  Lemon juice with a bit of yogurt once a day is an excellent mild bleach.  Rinse area with lukewarm water.

3.  Pour some Milk into a bowl, saturate a cotton round or a wash cloth and rub it generously around your face.  Milk is a natural skin bleacher.  Rinse area with lukewarm water.

4.  Cut the papaya into small chunks and blend.  Apply the papaya pulp to face and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes.  Rinse off  with lukewarm water.

5.  Mix 2 tbsp of flour in a bowl and add a pinch of turmeric.  Add a few drops of milk  to form a paste. Apply as a mask.  Rinse off with lukewarm water.
Caution:  Do not expect instant results.  Whenever skin-lightening products are being used they should be  accompanied by proper use of a full-spectrum sun sunblock.
