 Simple Steps to Relieve Dry Lips

 

It’s that time of the year when lips get really dry.  Our lips are consistently exposed to the environment and need a little extra love and care every now an then.

 

Here are few Simple steps to relieve dry lips:

       

1.  Exfoliate

Slough off those dead skin cells. mix equal amounts of olive oil and sugar until if forms a paste. Put the mixture on your lips and leave it for a minute. Rub very gently in a circular motion or  use a clean soft bristle or baby tooth brush and  gently rub in a circular motion.

 

 

2.  Treatment

 

Create and apply a lip mask for 5 to 10 minutes:

 Ingredients like Pure aloe vera gel or equal parts honey & equal parts olive oil mixed together or cucumber slices placed on lips are all ingredients with amazing soothing and healing properties

 

3.  Moisturize

 

Once your lips have been exfoliated and treated it is time to moisturize.  Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E all  very affordable, pesticide free, moisturizing and any one of these makes a great natural moisturizer.  Do this more frequently in the winter when your lips are more prone to becoming  dry and chapped.

 

 

** Dehydration can also be a culprit of dry chapped lips, it is recommended that you drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day.

 

Try using a humidifier(s) in your home, your lips, hair, skin and nails will love you for it!

 3 Simple Home Remedies to Relieve Dry Feet

 

Do you suffer from dry feet?  It’s that time of year when your feet need a little extra love and care.  Dry feet can creep up on you at any time of the year causing you to feel uncomfortable and insecure.   Turbo charge and condition those beautiful  tootsies with a few  inexpensive ingredients that you already have at home.

 

Here are 3 Simple home remedies to relieve dry feet:

 

Soak your feet

Create a soothing foot soak with Epsom Salts and warm water.  Epsom salt is loaded with magnesium, detoxifies,  soothe aches and soften rough skin.  Add 1/2 cup  of Epsom salt to a large pan of warm water. Soak feet for as long as you like.  Rinse and  moisturize while the feet are still damp.  Moisturize with a little Shea butter  or olive oil.   Add a little lavender or peppermint oil and off you go.

Exfoliation

Sugar scrub  is one of the  easiest  ways to exfoliate and repair dry skin.  Mix sugar ( brown sugar is my favorite),  olive oil and (optional) an essential oil  like lavender or peppermint.  Rub the sweet concoction all over your feet.  Be sure to give a little love and attention to the heels of your feet.  Rinse and rub in a little olive oil while feet are still damp.  Place a pair of socks to lock in the moisture.  Go to sleep and remove in the morning.

 

Moisturize

Head to your kitchen cabinet to find out out you had them all along.  The ingredients to naturally moisturize your dry, cracked feet. Rub a cotton round moistened with extra virgin olive oil all over your feet. Work the oil into the skin using a circular motion.  After applying the olive oil, slip on a pair of cozy cotton socks. This allows the oil to soak into your skin. Remove your  socks in about 2 hours.
